The Naoussa Day Care Centre is a legal entity operating under the auspices of the City of Paros. It is managed by a five member board of directors governed by the City Council.
The facility cares for children from2.5 – 6 years of age and operates from 07:00 – 15:45, Monday through Friday. Registration is held each year from the 1st through the 15th of July and the Centre has the capacity to care for up to 50 children. The Centre closes for the month of August.
The mission of the Naoussa Day Care Centre is to meet the personal and educational needs of pre-school children whose families are residents of the Municipal Region of Naoussa. It offers an excellent infrastructure and organization supervised by experienced and qualified staff, and the facility itself is very modern.
– The educational and entertainment programmes are designed in accord with the latest methodology in pre-school education utilizing the most appropriate games and materials and supervisory teaching tools.
– In a friendly, comfortable and hygienic environment, the children are encouraged to express themselves creatively and to enjoy themselves while receiving the training necessary for school preparation as well as a balanced diet.
– The classrooms have been specially designed with various activity corners in order to encourage self determined expression and assist in their emotional, social and intellectual development.
– All of the children are examined regularly by a paediatrician from the Paros Medical Centre, they are introduced to music by an experienced teacher from the Municipal School of Music, and they participate in the “Pre-School Athletics” programme of the Municipal Youth and Athletic Organisation. They also attend selected theatrical performances and other cultural events.
