Ground breaking for the new Naoussa All-Day Primary School

The City of Paros has just begun construction on the new Naoussa Primary School, a project of extreme importance to the education of our island’s youth.

Funding for the 3,120,000€ budget was secured by the City from the 3rd European Development Package under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Education and Religion.

Completion is projected for 15 months and the facility will include: 12 classrooms, a special education classroom, a lending library, 2 foreign language classrooms, specialized workshops for computer skills, positive sciences, musical kinetics and art. The site will also include a two-storey multi-purpose hall, something not yet existing on Paros, and the necessary administrative offices. The entire facility has been designed for easy access by individuals with motion impairments; there will be an interior lift and ramps for access to all facilities. The school grounds will include volleyball and basketball courts, a playground and an amphitheatre. The facility is located on a 3000 sq. m plot of land with the structures covering approximately 2500 sq. m.
